Kalyna. A dance of welcome. The kalyna (high bush cranberry) represents the beauty, purity and love for Ukraine. As we raise our kalyna branches, our patriotism will enable our homeland to rise to freedom.

Arkan. Arkan is a hypnotizing and exciting circular Hutsul dance performed only by men. Arkan begins at a slow and dramatic tempo increasing in speed to a fast lively and uplifting pace. The driving melody of Arkan is one of the most well-known and recognizable melodies in Ukrainian Folk dance.

Hutsulka. The dance Hutsulka is a mixed couple dance with musical similarities to the Kolomiyka. However, Hutsulka begins with a slow lyrical section, building in tempo to a driving frenzied speed.

Karitchka. The ‘circle’ is a fast-paced, exciting Carpathian ladies dance.

Vesnianka. Oh come spring, and bring me bliss and happiness! Vesnianka celebrates the coming of spring and the awakening of nature.

Danets. An exciting, yet romantic and sensual, Bukovenian dance.

Hopak. ‘I have my boots on and I will dance until the heels disappear; then I will dance barefoot!’ Hopak is a representation of the indomitable Ukrainian spirit.

Hopak
The perfect after-dinner event! Colourful and energetic, this dance which means “to jump”, will entertain and thrill all audiences! 12 minutes.
